Hello, Bonjour, Ciao!
I was born and raised around the Great Lakes of Canada, where flip flops were a part of my daily uniform from May-November.
Photography has always been my passion. I bought my first film camera for 50 cents at a yard sale when I was about 10 years old, and I can remember how excited I was the day that Shoppers DrugMart came out with one hour development years later. (I still have many of these photos!) I took photos of everything and anything! During high school I could always be found in the dark room when my friends were out doing much cooler things. In college I studied Computer Science and was drawn to web development. When I realized I actually hated coding, but loved websites with great photography, I was brought full circle back to my passion. After having my first child, naturally I couldn't stop taking photos of her! My neighbours started hiring me to take photos of their children, and voila, I was doing what I loved (but only part time!) My full time job was in client services at a Classic Car Auction company where I later met my (second) Husband Max. I'd say the rest is history, but this was just the beginning of a life full of adventure! Although we now reside in London, UK with two additional children, and a family business called Girardo & Co., we can often be found traveling around Italy, France, and Switzerland with family and other car loving friends. And, as expected, I always have a camera in my hand!
Other Random Notes:
I am deathly afraid of spiders, passionate about cooking, love everything French, love jeans over dresses and flip flops over heels, have randomly taken up horseback riding lessons, and love learning how I can help save the planet.
